Baptism (or Christening)

Baptism marks the beginning of your journey with Christ. This stays with you throughout your life. At this service we welcome you into God's Family.

A person can be baptised at any age. They normally have three Godparents who must be baptised themselves. It can often be a fun occasion, usually held during our 9.30am Family Communion Service.

Confirmation

Confirmation is the next step after baptism. It concerns the laying on of hands by the Bishop, confirming your baptismal vows and emphasising the role of the Holy Spirit in your life.

Weddings

A wedding is a most joyful occasion. We would love to welcome you to St Michael's for your marriage service and help you celebrate your new life together.

Banns of marriage are a legal preliminary to marriages and if your wedding is taking place in a different church, but you live in the Parish of St Michael's, then you will need to have your banns read during our services.

Funerals

Times of bereavement are when we most need comfort and understanding for the loss we are experiencing.

Please contact the vicar who will arrange a visit to discuss arrangements and offer pastoral support.
